Wednesday 30th May - Match against Christleton at Newton Primary School

Instead of training on Wednesday this week we will be playing two games against Christleton NewScene at Newton Primary School, Kingsway West, Newton, Chester. Please arrive at 6pm for a 6.15pm kickoff. All players who turn up will get a game.

Wednesday 23rd May

Saturday 26th May - Blacon Football Festival

Blacon Youth Football Club have invited us to take part in their football festival. The Festival will take place at:


Cairns Crescent Playing Fields, Blacon, Chester, CH1 5JF (click to view map). 


Car Parking will be available at Blacon High School. This is a short walk away and marshalls will direct you.

There will be NO training on Saturday because we will be at the festival

The tournament will commence at 11.00 am. Please arrive by 10.45. There is a fee of £4 per player to be paid to Phil on the day. Max 10 per team. There will be refreshments on sale during the day and there are dressing room and WC facilities on the ground. (Please do not leave anything unattended in the dressing room)


The festival is anticipated to finish around 4.30pm.

AFC Waverton 6 - 5 Vicars Cross

Rated as one of the best games of the season ended in a win for Waverton. Another hatrick by Charlie earns him man of the match. 

AFC Waverton vs Malpas

Four great mini-games against the Malpas lads. A 1-1 entertaining draw with a forward role goal celebration by Tom Steward-Smith was followed by a tight 1-0 defeat. In the 3rd game we were 4-0 down before Ted broke free to score a great birthday goal with the game ending 4-1 to Malpas. In the final game Leo scored 2 goals to secure a 2-0 victory. Thanks to all the lads for a great attitude.

Saturday 12th May - Results

Well done to everyone today! Thanks to parents, friends and relatives for great support.

AFC Waverton 4 - 2 Westminster Park

A fantastic win  against Westminster Park today. Great performances all over the park against a tough well organised team. Finally (at the third attempt) we get a well deserved win over the Wessy Park lads!!

AFC Waverton 5 - 9 Chester Nomads

A great comeback agains Chester Nomads. After a really poor first quarter the team played really well to get back into it.

Saturday 28/4 - MATCH POSTPONED BUT TRAINING AT CHRISTLETON IS ON

BAD NEWS - due the bad weather conditions over recent days the match against Hawarden is POSTPONED. it will be rescheduled for late May with the same players.

GOOD NEWS - training is ON in Christleton Sports Hall between 09:00 and 10:00. £2 per child. See you there.
